Yokaty Pérez has been
a work in progress as the setter for the Dominican Republic national teams in
most age-group tournaments for the past four years.

The U23 Women’s World
Championship represents the major challenge in the career for the 19-year old
player.

Perez, who stands at
1.78 meters, started playing when she was 11 and has been steadily adding up
experience as one of the most important pieces of the puzzle in the future of
Dominican volleyball.

Yokaty was the setter
for the Dominican squad that won the gold medal at the FIVB U20 World
Championship 2015 held in Puerto Rico.

Last year, Pérez
helped Dominican Republic teams to win the U20 Continental Championship in Fort
Lauderdale, United States and also the U23 Pan American Cup in Peru
